Our 58mm x 25mm MDF Picture Rail is used as a decorative and often functional horizontal moulding, fixed near the ceiling of rooms internally.  This is often found in period properties and we have Victorian, Georgian and other period picture rail mouldings.  It is also sometimes used for beading, or it can also be used at the base or top of a column, or to add additional impressive decorative trim / framing detail to doors, walls, ceilings and furniture.  It is moulded with a profile height of 58mm and a 25mm depth.  The rebate at the top is 12mm deep x 7mm height. 

We also offer ​​​​​a slightly smaller version of this profile which is our 38mm x 21mm Picture Rail which has a profile height of 38mm and a 21mm depth.

Please note that you may need to cut 100mm from each end of your picture rails to remove moulding flutter.  We leave this on to protect the ends of the boards during transit and it means that your ordered length has more chance of being intact on arrival.
