Our 38mm x 21mm MDF Picture Rail is used as a decorative and often functional horizontal moulding, fixed near the ceiling of rooms internally.  This is often found in period properties and we have Victorian, Georgian and other period picture rail mouldings.  It is also sometimes used for beading, or it can also be used at the base or top of a column, or to add additional impressive decorative trim / framing detail to doors, walls, ceilings and furniture.  It is moulded with a profile Height of 38mm (Vertical measurement) and a 21mm Projection (Horizontal measurement).  The rebate at the top is 5mm Height (Vertical measurement) and 9mm Projection (Horizontal measurement).

We also offer ​​​​​a slightly larger version of this profile which is our 58mm x 25mm Picture Rail which has a profile Height of 58mm (Vertical measurement) and a 25mm Projection (Horizontal measurement).

Please note that you may need to cut 100mm from each end of your picture rails to remove moulding flutter.  We leave this on to protect the ends of the boards during transit and it means that your ordered length has more chance of being intact on arrival.
